The drawing room is on the west side of the house and bathes in the late afternoon and early evening sun. A stunning collection of early New Zealand landscapes adorn the walls. There is a stereo, and a small grand piano which guests are welcome to play. An open fireplace keeps the room warm and welcoming, especially in the winter months.

The conservatory is situated at the front of the house and soaks up the sun from early morning until the evening. It is a fantastic area in which guests may relax, read, doze, socialise or enjoy a drink. At one end there is a small dining table, which guests are welcome to use in the summer evenings if they wish to have a light meal at home at The Argoed.
